Free Summer Skool for Dog Breeders
Two Workshops. Fours hours of CPD.
Navigate the challenges of summer breeding without breaking a sweat.
Schools out for summer – but if you’re still holding onto puppies who should have left by now, struggling with litters in warmer weather, and managing humid environments where infection risk is high, this is your sanity saver.
Being ‘stuck’ with puppies beyond 8 weeks because their new homes are on holiday or can’t collect when it’s too hot to travel delivers a sweatbox of struggles for breeders.
And if you have your own kids home from school thrown into the mix, your normal juggling act just had some extra balls tossed in.
Add in the extra danger of infection risk spiking due to humidity and sanitation hazards, and you’re firefighting more, with less time and energy.
Session 1: Managing the sale and homing of puppies during the summer months.
Date: 5 August
Time: 12:00pm–2:00pm
Rearing and selling puppies during the holidays is a different ballgame.
Learn how to:
- Navigate the sale of puppies over the summer months
- Handle heat stress and logistics when temperatures rise
- Cruise through socialisation & vaccinations for pups (over 8 weeks old)
- Manage the chaos of older littermates who’ve overstayed (and got more boisterous)
Session 2: Parasites, infections and impact - a deep dive into giardia
Date: 19th August
Time: 12:00pm–2:00pm
Heat breeds bugs, so learn how to protect your puppies this summer.
We’ll cover:
- Prevent disease entering and spreading
- Sanitise efficiently to safeguard against bacteria
- Where the risk transmission of diseases is highest (and what to about it)
- The 7 parasites that pose the greatest risk to puppies
- Signs, treatment and management protocols to stop giardia in it’s tracks
SAVE YOUR SPOT
From the whelping box to the sweatbox of struggles, Summer Skool will leave you feeling calm, cool, and confident about the seasonal challenges ahead.
